Getting to the Lodge: To reach Beh Kay Lodge, you will need to arrange travel to and from Cancún International Airport (CUN). The airport has multiple direct flights from the U.S.A., or other countries, as well as an option to connect through Mexico City. There are multiple non-stop flights from Dallas Ft. Worth/Miami (American Airlines), Houston/Denver (United), Atlanta (Delta), and many more. Southwest Airlines also services Cancún.

Please arrive Cancún the day prior to your arrival to the lodge. We recommend that all guests stay at the Marriott Courtyard Cancún Airport or Fairfield Inn & Suites Cancún Airport (individually arranged, not included), due to its proximity to the airport. They are located very close to one another.

Arrival Day:
Guests will be picked up around 7:40 AM from their hotel lobby in Cancún and transferred to the FBO – Private Aviation Terminal for the charter flight to the Pulticub Airstrip.

Departure Day:

Guests need to schedule a departing flight out of Cancún after 3:00 PM on the day they leave the lodge.

Documentation Requirements:
To enter Mexico, all guests are required to have the following:

• Passport: Valid for the duration of your trip.

Domestic Flight Note:
Guest will fly an hour from the FBO – Private Aviation Terminal in an eight passenger Cessna Caravan. The flight has a 44-pound weight restriction (per person). Having soft-sided, duffel style bags are preferred as they pack much better on the plane. Collectively, your carry-on bag and luggage should meet that weight. The camp has daily laundry service (for a fee), so bringing a lot of clothing is not necessary. Note: Bags will be searched by the Mexican Army on arrival and departure at the Pulticub airstrip.

Travel Cash:
As a guideline we recommend that each guest travel with approximately $1,100 -
$1,500 for staff & guide gratuities, the on-site fly shop, and other potential incidentals.

Credit Cards:
The lodge does not accept credit cards

Gratuities:
The following are guidelines, and all gratuities are up to the discretion of the individual guest. As the lodge rotates guides each day, guides appreciate being given gratuities at the end of each fishing day. However, it is also acceptable to give the total amount to the lodge managers at the end of your stay. House gratuities can be left with the lodge manager at the end of your stay.

Guides: $75 per person or $150 per guide per day. House staff: $75 per person per day. Transfer drivers: $5-10 per transfer

Fishing Licenses:
Fishing licenses are included for stays of one week.

Cell Coverage and Wi-Fi:

• Cell Coverage: There is no cell phone service at the lodge
• Wi-Fi: The lodge has wireless internet

Communications:
While traveling in Mexico we recommend using WhatsApp as
this is the way most lodges and outfitters communicate. Texting through
the app will allow you to keep in touch with the outfitter, friends,
and family when connected to Wi-Fi or your cell service provider. 

Power:

Power is standard 110 volt (same as in the US) and you will not need
any plug converters for your electrical equipment. The lodge has Wi-Fi
Internet available throughout the lodge and in some areas of the
property. Connections speeds are only suitable for emailing and texting.

Laundry:
Laundry service is included.

Water:

Bottled water is readily available throughout the lodge. The water from
the faucets is potable, but we still do not recommend drinking the
water just to be safe.

Beverages/Alcohol:

• Alcohol: Included. Guests over the age of 18 are welcome to bring their own

Emergency Medical Assistance:
The
closest medical facility is in Cancún, approximately 75 minutes by air
from the Pulticlub airstrip. Guests have the responsibility to disclose
any special medical, physical, or dietary needs to the lodge ahead of
time. In emergency situations, a charter flight may be required to reach
a medical facility. Guests may want to consider medical evacuation
coverage. We recommend Global Rescue.

Documents:
Passport, plane tickets, itinerary, credit card, cash.

Pliers/Forceps:
We like a solid pair of corrosion resistant pliers with cutters and/or scissor forceps.

Socks:
One pairs of synthetic lightweight socks to wear on the boat for sun protection.

Footwear & Clothing:
When fishing from the boat going bare foot is best so that you can feel your fly line around your feet and avoid stepping on it. Otherwise, socks can be worn to protect from the sun or Crocs work excellently as well. Wet wading with flats fishing boots or zip-up style neoprene flats booties work great. You may also want to bring flip-flops or sandals to wear on the boat or around the lodge.

Shirts:
Two or three long sleeve fishing shirts. One or two lodge shirts.

Pants/Shorts:

One pairs of pants and two pairs of shorts that are comfortable and quick drying for fishing, wearing around the lodge and travelling.

Warm Layers:
One lightweight long sleeve jacket. Great for potential chilly nights or on the plane while travelling.

Rain Jacket:
One lightweight high quality rain jacket.

Hats:
Two fishing/baseball hats.

Lodge Shoes:
Flip flops, shoes, or barefoot are completely acceptable for around the lodge.

Sun Mask:
One sun mask or gaiter for sun protection.

Sunglasses:

Two pairs of polarized sunglasses. Generally, a rose or yellow base for
lowlight and a copper or amber base for sunny conditions. It is great to have a lens cleaner and a soft cleaning cloth as well.

Lip Balm:
One stick of SPF 30+ lip balm.

Sunscreen:
SPF 50+

Camera:
Don’t forget extra batteries and waterproof case/bag.

Headlamp:
One small LED headlamp with extra batteries.

Toiletries Kit:

Toothpaste and toothbrush, deodorant, razor, lotion, mini shampoo bottle, pain relievers, ear plugs, band aids, anti-bacterial ointment, antihistamine, antibiotics, chaffing powder/ointment, etc.

Water Bottle:
One reusable water bottle.
