In this fly tying video, Ben Baxter shows us how to tie Keller’s She Demon. Among the Anglers All crew, the She Demon is one of our most popular streamer patterns. From the vise of Kris Keller and Montana Fly Company, the She Demon is a slender baitfish pattern, perfect for targeting trout or anything that eats baitfish.
“The She Demon is one of my favorite small streamer patterns because it looks great in the water with lots of flash and movement,” Anglers All general manager, Jimmy Juliana told us. Sleek and flashy, the marabou tail and saddle hackle give this fly lifelike movement.
“Its a very unique bugger version,” Jimmy added. “And the double tungsten beads give it plenty of weight to get down quickly.”
This compact streamer is perfect on smaller streams but is a deadly pattern anywhere you find baitfish. Swing it under a cut bank or dead drift it through a deep run. The weight of the two tungsten beads allows it to drop through the water column and get into the zone in a hurry.
