Imagine waking up to the sounds of geckos chirping and gentle waves tickling the shore. The sun is just breaking through your blinds and it's the quiet start to a beautiful sunny day in Belize. You are tucked away at a small private lodge, where the vibes are relaxed and the schedule is completely up to you. It’s your choice: paddleboard to the flats behind the lodge, grab a guide to fish for bonefish and permit, run into San Pedro for some local shopping or beach time, or hang out on the dock with a fresh coconut and a book. It’s your adventure and escape.

We’re running it back again, our 2nd annual Ladies’ Trip to Cayo Frances Farm & Fly! I would love for you and your friends to join us on this relaxing adventure to the Caribbean. International travel can be intimidating, especially if you haven’t left the US before. Heck, fishing travel can be intimidating, if you have never fished outside of your home state. The perks of joining this hosted trip, is that you will always be taken care of. From booking your flight, to learning to cast an 8-weight, or even finding someone to fish with - we have your back. Last year we had a couple groups of friends and a few solo ladies join us on the trip. Although we didn’t all know each other before the trip and were all different ages, we quickly became a close group of friends - bonded by the love for adventure travel and laughter.

Cayo Frances isn’t your typical saltwater lodge - it’s a place that feels like your home away from home. With the attentive and caring staff, your needs will always be met throughout the week. Rachel, the talented chef, makes the most amazing locally produced meals that will leave you eager to return to the table every night. Edgar, the lodge expert, will climb a coconut tree to get you coconut water (maybe mix it with rum) and show you the sneakiest place to catch a baby tarpon. Jill and Nicky, the kindest owners, will greet you with a cold towel and a drink after a long day in the sun. If you haven’t traveled to an ecolodge before, this is a great place to start! No detail is overlooked by this crew.
Everyday is a little different at camp, but you will always go to sleep with a fun memory from the day. Our last group shared the sentiment of their favorite part being the time laughing and swapping stories at the Palapa every night. My favorite memory was paddle boarding with the group around the flats and sharing lunch on our boards while we got a tan and looked for bonefish.

This is a can’t-miss trip, if you have been looking to try saltwater fishing or meet a new group of girlfriends that like to adventure travel. Let's go!
